It's great to relax and recharge. Overworking yourself and/or expecting others to do so is a recipe for disaster. Taking breaks, taking your holidays and having a life outside of work is something we encourage everyone to do. If you're rested, you are better, more productive, less likely to hurt yourself (or others) and likely happier.

Breaks
Holidays
On a shift, a manager will tell you when your break is. You can leave the pub, and your break needs to be taken during your shift (it is there to give you a break, hence the name), not before or after.
Breaks are paid at Wonderkid Pubs (it's a perk of working with us)
20 minutes for any shift of 6 hours or more
11 hours' rest between shifts (unless you opt out of this)
2 days off a week (a minimum of 24 hours in a row)
Your total entitlement is 28 days of holiday per year. Our holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March. Use 'em or lose 'em: plan ahead! Your manager may deny a holiday request if you are required to work. Some specifics explained:
If you are hourly paid, your days off are based on your average hours worked. This means if you work 10 hours a week, you don't get 28 days off; the number of hours you can request off is based on your actual hours worked
You can carry over 5 days (48 hours) of holiday into the next holiday year. We will chat to you about this before the end of the holiday year
Planning ahead is key: we ask that you use half of your holiday by October every year
Busy work times = no holidays unless there's an exception, so plan ahead and speak to your manager
